Made with fleck clay, I love making this shape as it is tactile and can be held perfectly in both hands as a food container or vase. Natural throwing lines can be observed in the texture and look of the bowl with the translucent colours of teal and blue over the base brown on the outside, created with a mixed glaze of Sophie’s Chun and Emma’s Blue in a gas reduction kiln. The inside is a gentle duck egg blue with sporadic spots of dark blue.
