As I was playing with paint and layers, a reflective pool appeared under the large rock I had added, thus creating an oasis, with light and heat haze creating unusual abstract shapes.

Acrylic on stretched canvas, using a pouring paint technique that allows the pastel paints to blend in a unique way, which I disturb using oils to create unusual textures and patterns.
