Part of the ‘Earth Series’.

I loved creating this explosion of lava and flames. It happened through a fortuitous blend of colours where the gold floated on top of the red and blue, separating into cells and bringing the colour below up to the surface.

Acrylic on stretched canvas, using a fluid art technique that allows the paints to blend in a unique way, which I disturb using oils to create unusual textures and patterns.
